VitaD.ca is a public health initiative dedicated to making essential health resources accessible to Ontarians who face barriers in obtaining them. Our program distributes Vitamin D supplements and Naloxone First Aid Kits to eligible individuals at no cost, ensuring that every household has the tools they need for preventive health and emergency preparedness.

We are committed to bridging health gaps by providing:
✔️ Free home delivery of Vitamin D for those unable to access a pharmacy
✔️ Government-funded Naloxone First Aid Kits to prevent opioid-related emergencies
✔️ Educational support and virtual training sessions to empower individuals with knowledge

2. Our Mission & Purpose

At VitaD, we believe that healthcare should be accessible to all, regardless of financial, geographic, or mobility barriers. Our mission is to:
✅ Improve long-term health by providing Vitamin D to prevent deficiencies.
✅ Enhance community safety by ensuring Naloxone is widely available.
✅ Educate and empower Ontarians through self-training materials and live virtual training sessions.

We take a proactive approach to public health, ensuring that individuals and families have the resources they need before they are urgently required.

3. Why We Distribute Both Vitamin D & Naloxone

Our program is designed to address two major health challenges in Canada:
🔹 Vitamin D Deficiency – A common issue, particularly in colder climates where sun exposure is limited.
🔹 Opioid-Related Emergencies – A growing crisis that affects individuals, families, and communities.

Why together?

• Naloxone is government-funded, allowing us to sustain free Vitamin D distribution by offering both in one package.

• Many individuals may not seek Naloxone independently, but having it available can save lives in an unexpected situation.

• This model reduces operational costs, enabling continued free distribution and accessibility.

By bundling these essential health tools, we ensure that preventive and emergency care reach more people who need them.

4. How Our Program Works

Step 1: Eligibility & Order Placement

• If you are unable to access a pharmacy due to mobility, distance, or financial barriers, you qualify for free delivery.

• Place an order online at VitaD.ca by confirming your details.

Step 2: SMS Confirmation & Consent

• You will receive a text message to confirm your order, ensuring that you agree to receive both Vitamin D and the Naloxone First Aid Kit.

• A required eligibility confirmation ensures that only those who genuinely need home delivery receive it.

Step 3: Training & Education

• After confirmation, you will receive self-training materials on how to use Naloxone.

• You can also book a live virtual one-on-one training session for additional guidance.

Step 4: Delivery & Follow-Up Support

• Your package will be shipped, including both Vitamin D and the Naloxone kit.
